My cube is all cards I like aesthetically and/or mechanically. Banding, Splice Onto Arcane, and Ninjutsu are my 3 favorite game mechanics. My favorite card in the game is Dash Hopes. The art for this game peaked from 1996~ until 2008~. Everything after that looks like generic soulless garbage. It's a trading card game, it's important to me that the cards I play with look nice. It's more fun to have a cube full of pretty cards that you also enjoy playing with than an ugly, generic Good Stuff(tm) pile. So the reason why everything is so CoK Block/Mirrodin/Time Spiral/etc. dense is that those are both the cards I like looking at the most and the cards that have my favorite mechanics. All basic lands count as snow. Since I double sleeve all of my cards, I will often use a Sharpie to put custom errata on the inner sleeve of a card, usually to nerf it but occasionally to make the card better. For instance, Skullclamp gives +1/+0, Umezawa's Jitte only gives one counter per swing, Through the Breach only cheats a non-Emrakul into play, and Mishra's Warmachine is just a 7 mana 5/5 bander. There are like 30-40 cards with custom errata I play with, too many to list from memory. You can also use Sharpie on the inner sleeve to update rules text. For example, Arcbound Ravager's creature type has been updated to Beast but it isn't printed on the original Darksteel printing, so I added it on. Horrible Hordes and Dancing Scimitar are both Spirits, etc.
